Alien lifeforms

Jul 26, 2011

Alien lifeforms by H. R. Giger, the Swiss surrealist, creator of the terrifying life forms and their otherworldly environment in the film classic Alien. His illustrations and paintings are believed to have influenced the gothic fashion and style formation at the dawn of the goth subclture, even before Bauhaus' first single «Bela Lugosi's Dead» was released in August 1979.

Fundamental to the nature of his work is his Biomechanical aesthetic, a dialectic between man and machine, representing a universe at once disturbing and sublime.
