Nordstern Festival Day 2

The second day of the festival and our third day in Hamburg we started with a walk not far from Sternschanze looking for Yokodzuna shop. We had spotted the small shop on the net before we came to Hamburg as we were hoping to find a lomo camera here ( doesn't ship lomo cameras to Russia due to our lousy mail service). The previous day we had visited the Urban Outfitters shop close to Alster lake, but there were only Diana F+ and Belair. The Yokodzuna shop turned out to be a very cool one with lots of cute things of all kinds including the blue Sprocket Rocket panoramic lomo camera, which we bought, and a nice simple black dress, which I immediately put on.

Then, we came to Landungsbruecken again to try the Fishbroetchen with crab meat Birte told us about and to walk along the quay overlooking the port.

Then it was already high time we were off to the concert.

The Sprocket Rocket camera came really in handy as the security guy at the entrance would like to keep our Samsung NX taking it for a professional one.

The second day of the festival featured:

20:40: Camouflage
19:10: Diary of Dreams
17:50: De/Vision
16:45: Zeromancer
15:45: Namnambulu
15:00: Aesthetic Perfection

The place in Stadtpark seemed to be rather boring, so we took a nice position near a not functioning beer stand, in the shadow, and sticked to it till the end.

A bit later we got in touch with a couple from Ukraine, a Yii developer and a teacher of German, who moved to Hamburg recently. There is no problem with finding a good job in big German cities if you specialize in php and know the Yii framework for instance. And know a bit of English or German, of course.

Diary of Dreams was pretty good, old known songs and the old good Adrian Hates in a big hat and a shabby outfit.

====One can see that the Sprocket Rocket pictures here are without the perforation holes typical of the shots made with this lomography camera. This couldn't have been escaped as the scanner utility in the photolab can do it only this way + it doesn't always recognize the beginning and the end of a shot, which is still not as bad as gong without the holes though (which may be well seen in the two above shots). Below is an experiment we ran with the developed film putting in on Samsung Galaxy Tab white flashing screen and shooting it with the regular digital camera. Colours and the quality are not so true as with professionally screened film, but at least the perforation holes are in place :)

Later in the evening, we came back home to take our backpacks and pick up Birte who decided to join us for the Night of the Living Dead afterparty in Markthalle that night. We had lota of fun, dancing and listening to various kinds of sets on two scenes, one of them playing EMB and Dark Electro, the other — post-punk Joy Division-like stuff...At about 3 am Birte saw us off to the bus station, which luckily was near by, and we then saw her off to the S-Bahn :)
